I wanted to be a Marine Biologist

I wanted to be a Marine Biologist…

It was all about the whales and other sea life.
I spent most of my time (growing up) IN the ocean,
not laying on the sand.

This would be my idea of a good time —
alas, I get DEATHLY  seasick in any kind of boat.
Dry heaves retching until I pass out seasick.
So unless I planned to swim everywhere, I’d be in trouble.

Maybe I’ll come back as a Mermaid.

I saw this in my email on my phone and all I saw was “I wanted to be a Marine” and I though: “Kate might have made a good Marine, except for that stuff about following orders…”

Oh, yes! We need more mermaids…

If you get seasick, a mermaid might be the answer. I enjoyed your poem.

    • Hah! It does sound like a poem! What do you know?

BTW, sorry I am responding late. I am not getting my notices from zenkatwrites!

Don’t apologize, Katie. I have been late with everything. We are in the process of downsizing from a LARGE home to a very small home. Our house is on the market, I am constantly cleaning out closets, storage, drawers, cabinets and when I’m not doing that I’m cleaning for a showing or trying to decide which furniture will fit in the new house. Ugh! Have a wonderful rest of your week. Hugs.

Me, too! Same issues! I love to swim, but my motion sickness has gotten worse with age. I ended up majoring in psychology instead of biology because I couldn’t make A’s or even B’s in trig and higher chemistry. I could’ve gotten a tutor, but now, I believe I was supposed to major in psych – got to work on my own stuff more. 😉

Love to hear from you....
